Frequently Asked Questions - For Parents
Q: How much will it cost?
A: The cost for bringing a child or young adult to a Friday Night respite is $5 per night. The cost of Stone Soup on Sunday and Holiday Camp at Christmas is underwritten by your host church and community friends as a gift. Reservations are required - on a first come, first served basis.
Q: Do I make a reservation BEFORE sending or bringing in my camper's application?
A: YES. Please call the Director for your Stone Soup LOCATION to request your reservation, provide your name and the camper's name and the date they will be attending. Then send or bring in your application as recommended by the Director. We need a SIGNED hard-copy application.
Q: Can you work with my camper?
A: We can accommodate most campers as we have a registered nurse present and at least one camp counselor for every two campers. Campers who use sign language are welcome. If we have any questions upon receiving your application we will contact you by phone for an interview to clarify our questions. Feel free to contact us first, if you think it necessary.
Q: May a parent or caregiver attend with a camper?
A: Yes. Please let us know if you plan on attending with your camper.
Q: What instructions will we receive when we make our reservation and send or bring in our application?
A: You will be e-mailed or called with specific instructions and will receive a special phone contact number and information.
