Lynn is still with us but showing further signs of imminent departure. Ken and Barbara Oma came today to lead us in music and singing of hymns. We read Proverbs 31 to honor Lynn as a godly, intelligent, faithful, resourceful, and joyful woman. Thanks for all the gifts and assistance during this time.Jan 16th
This morning it appeared to be our last day with Lynn. However, by noon time she seemed to rally and her vital signs and responses in other ways turned positive. It now appears that she will have yet another day or two to bless us with her presence.
The Celebration of her life this coming Sunday is being put on hold for the moment - tomorrow will yield another assessment and response. Check back tomorrow in the early afternoon for the next update.
Thanks for all your prayers, thoughts, cards, flowers, food, phone calls, and visits. Guests are welcomed to our home.
Tomorrow we will be posting some photos and a biography of "the most beautiful girl in the world."

Yesterday, Lynn acknowledged a few friends who came to visit. Last evening about 40 of us listened as David Winkler played the key board of her favorite hymns. She responded very warmly and we decided to sing to her - she tapped her foot to the music.
Then late last night she awoke brightly and spoke clearly, "I love you, Virginia." as Virginia, our 16 year old daughter sat next to her.
Last night was her most difficult but now is resting peacefully.
The family is welcoming any friends who want to visit.
It seems now that her time on earth is limited to hours not days. Our expectation is that we will have a Celebration for her on Sunday at 2:00PM, Judson Baptist Church, 4900 Franklin Road, Nashville, TN . Please check back on this site for updates twice a day now.

She is resting at home with our family and friends. Her work on earth is nearly complete. Friends are welcome to come by this evening. We will have to see how she is for tomorrow.

Lynn is home resting and receiving guests. She is on a high concentration of oxygen. She is lucid on parts of the day she is awake. Her brother David and sister Kathy and sister-in-law, Wanda (McGary) Hatcher came in from Brazil to be with her. She has communicated with Stone Soup leaders her appreciation for their work. Last night she asked our son, Ryan to pray for us all, we then sang a favorite hymn, "Great is Thy Faithfulness." Her brother sang her favorite Portuguese hymn. She waved her hand as if she was leading a choir when we sang to her!
